Bio
Kara McCarville is entering her 18th year with the UW-Platteville Department of Athletics and Recreation. She currently serves as Associate Athletic Director for Sports Administration and Chief of Staff.
McCarville supervises internal operations within the athletic department including event management, facilities and daily operations. She is responsible for all athletic and recreational facilities and is the liaison with campus facilities for custodial, maintenance and future planning. She works closely with Director of Athletics, Michael Knipe, and assists with budget and guiding the Athletic Department.
McCarville is the administrator for men's and women's track and field, baseball and game management as well as having oversight of the Pioneer Activity Center and Intramurals. She oversees all home events and has been the host tournament director for NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments and NCAA Men's Soccer Tournaments, hosted here at UW-Platteville.
McCarville began her career at UW-Platteville as an assistant to the Director of Athletics and to the Director of Recreational Facilities.
