Pioneers name athletes of the week, Beuthin earns WIAC honors

Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week – Morgan Hartman, Sr. (Rochester, Minn./Century) – Hartman wrapped up a stellar career as a Pioneer this week. The senior connected on three-for-eight shot attempts beyond the arc and grabbed three rebounds in the Pioneers loss to UW-River Falls on February 18. Hartman started every game for the Pioneers this year, shot 38.5% beyond the arc, and averaged nine points per game for the Pioneers this year. She played in 101 career games played, which puts her in the top five all-time. |

Indoor Track Men’s Field Athlete of the Week – Matt Dwyer, Sr. (Palos Heights, Ill./St. Laurence) – Dwyer won the pole vault competition at the Spartan Invitational hosted by the University of Dubuque on February 17. The senior’s winning mark of 5.00 meters (16’, 4.75”) ranks number one in the WIAC and number five on the NCAA Division III national list. |

Indoor Track Women’s Field Athlete of the Week – Rachel Beuthin, Fr. (Mazonmanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) – Beuthin placed second in the shot put at the Spartan Invite hosted by the University of Dubuque on February 17. The freshman’s throw of 14.11 meters (46’, 3.5”) broker her own school record by two feet, 10.25 inches. That mark ranks first in the WIAC and fifth on the NCAA Division III national list. |
