Logan Pearson -- Forward -- Senior -- Kimberly, Wis. / Kimberly Pearson averaged 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game as the Pioneers won their second consecutive WIAC Tournament title with wins over UW-Stevens Point and UW-La Crosse last week. The senior opened with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting with nine rebounds and five assists in an 83-73 win over the Pointers in the WIAC Semifinal. He followed that up with another 22-point performance in the title game, shooting 8-of-15 from the floor while grabbing seven more boards. Pearson added two steals and a blocked shot on the defensive end of the floor.

Izzy Peterson -- Sprints -- Junior -- Lexington, Ky. / Roosevelt Peterson broke two school records at the WIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend. In the the prelims of the 60m on Friday, she ran a 6.67 to break the school record previously held by Gwen Orr of 6.72. Peterson then placed fourth in the finals of the 60m in a time of 6.69. Also on Saturday, Peterson broke her own school record in the 200m on her way to a second-place finish. Her time of 24.82 was a .31 second improvement from her previous best. On the NCAA DIII Qualifying list, Peterson is ranked eighth in the 200m and 21st in the 60m. |
