Pioneers earn All-Academic Award while 308 student-athletes named to WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – For the 21st consecutive year, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers have received the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Academic Award. The award is presented to member institutions where the 2020-21 academic year grade point average (GPA) of the student-athletes is equal to or greater than the GPA of the institution’s overall student body. The 21-year steak is the longest consecutive streak in the conference.

The award is presented to member institutions where the 2020-21 academic year grade point average (GPA) of the student-athletes is equal to or greater than the GPA of the institution's overall student body. The 21-year steak is the longest consecutive streak in the conference.
The Pioneer student-athletes had a 3.154 overall GPA for the 2020-21 academic year.
The WIAC also honored individual success in the classroom with 308 UW-Platteville student-athletes being named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. To be named to the honor roll a student-athlete must compete in a varsity sport and accumulate a 3.0 or better GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
The same Pioneer student-athletes were also named to the university's Gabe Miller Academic Honor Roll, named in memory of the late men's basketball player who passed away just weeks after the Pioneers won the 1995 NCAA Division III national championship.
As a conference, all eight member institutions of the WIAC earned the All-Academic Award for the 2020-21 year.
