Pioneers name athletes of the week, Wardinski earns WIAC honors

Katie Wardinski*, Senior (West Allis, Wis./Central) - 10,000 meters Wardinski ran a lifetime personal best at the Washington University Invite on March 29th. Her time of 37:42.92 placed 11th in a field of 50 collegiate women. That time currently 1st in the WIAC and 10th on the NCAA National List. |

Logan Kozak, Freshman (Waukesha, Wis./North) - Catcher Kozak hit .700 (7-of-10) for the week, all plate appearances were in the three wins for the Pioneers who went 3-1 against UW-Stout over the weekend. On March 30, Kozak went 2-of-2 with a walk and a run scored in the 5-2 win. Kozak went 2-of-4 with a double, run scored, one RBI and a stolen base in the team's 4-1 win on March 31. Kozak went 3-of-4 with a run scored, one RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in the 7-6 win to finish the series. As a catcher, Kozak threw out four base runners in the three games he played. |

Tyler Vogel, Senior (Mount Horeb, Wis./Mount Horeb) – Righthanded Pitcher Vogel earned the win in the second half of a doubleheader against UW-Stout on March 30. Vogel threw 6.2 innings, allowed just three hits, zero earned runs and totaling 11 strikeouts. The Pioneers won the series 3-1.
