Pioneers name athletes of the week, Lee and Voelker earn WIAC honors

Women's Basketball - Caitlyn Tipton, Sophomore (Rosendale, Wis; Laconia HS) - Guard Tipton averaged 11.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3 assists in the Pioneer 1-1 split during the week, with a loss against UW- Eau Claire and win over UW- Stevens Point. Against UW- Eau Claire, she contributed 5 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. On January 19th, Tipton shot a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor including 1-of-1 from three point range and 9-of-10 from the free throw line in a 75-62 win over UW-Stevens Point. She contributed 18 points, 6 assists and 2 steals in 25 minutes of play. |

Men's Basketball - Carter Voelker*, Junior (Kiel, Wis.) - Guard Voelker led the Pioneers to a 2-0 week and averaged 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field and 76.9 percent (10-of-13) from 3-point range. On Jan. 16, Voelker made all six of his 3-point attempts and had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals to help the Pioneers win 81-62 over UW-Eau Claire. In the 61-60 Jan. 19 win over UW-Stevens Point, Voelker had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and two steals. |

Women's Track - Johanna Meister, Senior, (Darlington, WI; Darlington HS) - Mile Johanna placed second in the mile at the WIAC Triangular involving Platteville, Eau Claire and Stevens Point. Johanna time of 5:12.85 is now #3 in the WIAC and #24 on the Division III National Qualifying list.

Women's Field - Brittany Ehlen, Senior (Burlington, Wis.; Burlington HS) - Pole Vault Ehlen won the pole vault competition at the WIAC Triangular involving Platteville, Eau Claire and Stevens Point. Her winning height of 3.67 meters (12' .5") ranks #1 in the WIAC and #7 on the NCAA National list. |

Men's Track - Zach Lee*, Senior (Franklin, Wis.; Franklin HS) - Mile Lee won the mile at the WIAC Triangular involving Platteville, Eau Claire and Stevens Point. Lee's time of 4:13.26 was a lifetime personal record that ranks #1 on the NCAA National List. |

Men's Field - Noah Steiner, Junior (Monticello, Iowa; Monticello HS) High Jump Steiner won the high jump at the WIAC Triangular involving Platteville, Eau Claire and Stevens Point. Steiner's jump of 6' 5" currently ranks him #3 in the WIAC. |
