Pioneers name athletes of the week

Women's Basketball - Maiah Domask, Sophomore (Waupun, Wis.) - Forward

Domask averaged 15.6 points and 11.6 rebounds as UW-Platteville defeated Ripon College (Wis.), 60-53, Finlandia (Mich.), 60-40 and lost to Augsburg (Minn.), 64-70. Domask was named All-Tournament for her performance at the Holiday Inn Express Thanksgiving Classic in La Crosse. In the three games, Domask totaled 47 points by converting 17-of-35 (48.6 percent) shots from the field and 13-of-16 (81.3 percent) free throws while compiling 35 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 steals. In UW-Platteville's road win over Ripon on Nov. 20, Domask counted 17 points, 12 rebounds, 5-of-6 (83.3 percent) free throws and 3 steals in 29 minutes of play. In back to back double-doubles, the Pioneers' loss over Augsburg on Nov. 24, she tallied a career high 22 points, career high 15 rebounds, 8-of-10 (80 percent) free throws and 3 steals in 33 minutes. On Nov. 25, the Pioneers defeated the Finlandia Lions, Domask had 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals in 24 minutes.

Men's Basketball - Robert Duax, Senior (Dubuque, Iowa) - Forward

Duax scored 32 points and shot 15-for-22 (68 percent) from the field in No. 10-ranked UW-Platteville's 86-97 loss to Simpson on Nov. 20. Duax added two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
