Pioneers name athletes of the week

Women's Basketball - Morgan Horstman, Junior (Bangor, Wis.) - Guard

Horstman led UW-Platteville and all scorers with 15 points and four steals against No.15 ranked Wartburg in the season opener.  In the Pioneer 66-49  loss, Morgan went five-of-10 (50 percent) shooting from the floor, connected on two of her five shots from beyond the arc and was a perfect three-for-three from the free throw line.  The junior grabbed four rebounds, had four steals and two assists in the road loss.

Wrestling - Lucius Rinehart, Sophomore (Merill, Wis.) - 285 lbs.

Rinehart claimed the 285 lb. title in the Super 8 Invitational hosted by UW-Platteville on November 10. Rinehart pinned Dubuque's Robert Melise (ranked as a contender by D3wrestle.com) in 4:40.
