Pioneers name athletes of the week

Men's Track & Field - Rodrick McMiller, Freshman (Chicago, Ill./Chicago Leadership Academy) - McMiller won the 100m at the Augustana College Meet of Champions on April 21^st. His time of 10.61 seconds broke the UW-Platteville school record and currently ranks him #1 in the WIAC and #3 on the NCAA National List. McMiller also anchored the Pioneers' 4x100 team to victory in a time of 42.17 seconds.

Women's Track & Field - Janelle Ferguson, Junior (Rockford, Ill./Auburn) - Ferguson placed second at the Augustana College Invitational in the 1500 meters. Her time of 4:44.59 was a 12 second personal record and moved her to #4 on the WIAC Honor Roll. It is also the seventh fastest time run in UW-Platteville history.

Softball - Abby Jaques, Junior (Princeton, Ill.), Catcher - Jaques hit .400 (12-for-30) with seven runs scored and four RBI in eight games last week. She scored all three runs for the Pioneers in a 3-2 win against UW-Stevens Point on April 20^th, and had four hits in a 10-2 win on April 21^st against UW-River Falls.
