Men's Track & Field - Cody Faust, Junior (Monroe, Wis.) - Faust set the heptathlon school record at the Wartburg Qualifier on March 2 with a point total of 4926. Faust won three of the seven events, and placed in the top three in the other four events. His performance moved him from 14th to 8th on the the National Qualifier List, and secured his spot at the NCAA Championships. |

Softball - Position - Jessy Tanel, Sophomore (Mukwonago, Wis.) Infield - Tanel hit .500 (7-14) in UW-Platteville's opening weekend of play to help the Pioneers go 3-1. She had two home runs and five RBI against Webster and Westminster, and had at least one hit in all four games. In the second game against Webster on March 3, Tanel went 3-for-3 with a home run, triple, four RBI, two runs scored, and a walk. In the field she was a perfect 9-for-9 on putout opportunities. |

Softball - Pitching - Ashton Hoeppner, Freshman (Winona, Minn./Winona Senior) Righthanded Pitcher - Hoeppner threw two complete games and went 2-0 in her first collegiate games. In her start against Webster on March 3, Heoppner struck out 11 Gorlok batters. She followed that performance with a five hit, one run effort on March 4 against Westminster. In the two games she combined for 16 strikeouts and a 2.50 ERA in her 14 innings of work. |

Men's Basketball - Carter Voelker, Sophomore (Kiel, Wis.), Guard - Voelker averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in the Pioneers first two home NCAA Tournament games since 1999. In the second round game against St. Olaf on March 3, Voelker scored 17 points. He shot 50 percent from the field and hit all five of his free throws in the Pioneers' 74-68 win. |
