Garvens, Klein lead Pioneers at Wartburg

Jason Garvens and Patrick Klein turned in top-five finishes, leading the seventh-ranked UW-Platteville men at Wartburg College's Dan Huston Invitational in Waverly, Iowa.

The Pioneer men were sixth out of 24 schools out of what is billed as a pre-nationals race. The UW-Platteville women were 12th out of 23 schools in their race.

Garvens was third in the 8,000-meter race, covering the course in 25:41. Klein was right behind, grabbing fifth in 26:50.

Alli Tank led the Pioneer women with an 18th-place finish, completing the 6K course in 23:25.
