Women's Soccer Shuts Out Clarke, 2-0
The UW-Platteville women’s soccer team improved to 4-1after defeating Clarke University, 2-0, on Wednesday night at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team improved to 4-1 on the season after defeating Clarke University, 2-0, on Wednesday night at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
Senior Corey Daehling delivered a perfect corner kick to the far poswhere fellow senior Melissa Dunlavy headed the ball past the goalie to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead in 29th-minute. Then in the 34th-minute, the ball got loose in Clarke's goal box and freshman Yamilex Jaramillo got control of the ball and chipped it over the goalkeeper to Daehling to pop the ball in extending the Pioneers lead to 2-0.
In the second-half, the Crusaders out shout UW-Platteville 6-5 but the stellar play by freshman Mandy Taylor in the goal shutout Clarke.
The Pioneers welcome 13th-ranked Aurora to Pioneer Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
