The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer winning streak ended at three games with a 2-0 loss to host Hamline on Saturday.
The Pioneers (3-1) were held to just seven shots in the loss, including just two in the final 45 minutes. Hamline (4-0) outshot the Pioneers by an 8-2 margin in the second half, including both goals.
The two teams had played to a scoreless first half until the Pipers' Natalie Cooper scored in the 55th minute and Marina Nelson added an insurance tally in the 80th minute.
Anna Strasser had an opportunity in the 17th minute that was blocked and another shot in the 53rd minute that was saved that kept UW-Platteville off the scoreboard.
The Pioneers will look to return to its winning ways when they host Dubuque on Wed., Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
