Pioneers compete at UW-Whitewater Spring Fling
JANESVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team competed Friday and Sunday at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling at the Riverside Golf Course. The Pioneers finished 8-of-16 teams.
JANESVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team competed Friday and Sunday at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling at the Riverside Golf Course. The Pioneers finished 8-of-16 teams.
UW-Platteville combined rounds of 360 and 351 for a 36-hole total of 711. Illinois Wesleyan captured first place with a total of 628 strokes.
Freshman Danielle Bruecker paced the Pioneers and tied for 21st with rounds of 88 and 80 (168).
Sophomore Taylor Swalve combined rounds of 86 and 88 to finish with a final score of 174 stokes. Sophomore Madison Berg finished with a two-day total of 183 after rounds of 95 and 88.
Junior Jada Chang finished with a two-day total of 189 (91, 96) and junior Emma Cage rounded out the Pioneers' five golfers with 190 strokes (95, 95).
The Pioneers will return to action on Friday, April 26 when they travel to Rock Island, Illinois for Augustana's Viking Invitational.
