Pioneers Compete at Viterbo Invitational
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished second out of 10 teams at the Viterbo University Invitational played at La Crosse Country Club on Sunday. The Pioneers shot an 18-hole team score of 342. This is the third consecutive top two finish for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers shot an 18-hole team score of 342. This is the third consecutive top two finish for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers placed two golfers in the top ten. Senior Emily Veenhuis tied her season low round with an 82 to finish tied fifth while Markie Ash finished seventh overall after shooting an 84.
Rounding out the top five for the Pioneers was sophomore Jada Chang shooting 87 which was tied for 14th, freshman Taylor Swalve shooting 89, and junior Josie Alm shooting 90.
Pioneers competing as individuals included sophomore Emma Cage (94) and freshman Maddy Berg (97).
The Pioneers will return to action at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational at Sentry World Golf Course in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 1.
