Ash ties for second as Pioneers take fourth at Falcon Invite
Prescott, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished fourth out of seven teams after two rounds at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invite. The Pioneers shot a 36-hole team score of 725 after shooting 370 in the first round and 355 in the second.

Continuing to lead the way for the Pioneers was senior Markie Ash whose two-round score of 166 (86-80) placed her tied for second. Ash has finished in the top six in every tournament this season.
Finishing second on the team for the Pioneers was senior Cortney Olsen who finished 14th after shooting a two-day score of 178 (91-87). Senior Emily Veenhuis finished tied 19th after shooting a 186 (99-87).
Rounding out the Pioneers' top five were freshman Emma Cage shooting 195 (94-101) and sophomore Josie Alm who shot a 201 (99-102).
The Pioneers wrap up their fall season at the WIAC Championship on October 8-10 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
