Baribeau Takes First in Illinois
Senior Stephanie Baribeau of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team took home the top individual prize at the Millikan Big Blue Fall Classic held at Red Tail Run golf course in Decatur, Illinois. Baribeau shot five-over 77s on Friday and Saturday at the Raymond Floyd-designed golf course, edging out Viterbo University’s Danielle Ducklow by one stroke.
DECATUR, Ill.—Senior Stephanie Baribeau of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team took home the top individual prize at the Millikan Big Blue Fall Classic held at Red Tail Run golf course in Decatur, Illinois. Baribeau shot five-over 77s on Friday and Saturday at the Raymond Floyd-designed golf course, edging out Viterbo University's Danielle Ducklow by one stroke.
The Pioneers turned in another strong team performance, finishing third out of eight teams at the invitational. Junior golfer Lindsay Neitzel was the next finisher behind Baribeau, coming in a tie for seventh place. Lexi Graf, Alysse Elko, and Larissa Schmock all carded top-25 finishes, coming in 16th, 21st, and tied for 22nd respectively.
Baribeau and the rest of the Pioneers will look to follow up this strong showing this weekend at the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic in Delavan, Wisconsin. The tournament will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24.
