LA CROSSE, Wis.--- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished fourth out of seven teams at the Viterbo University Invitational played at the La Crosse Country Club. The tournament had to be shortened to just 18 holes due to all of the rain that La Crosse received on Friday and Saturday.
Conditions improved by the time it was time to tee off, but La Crosse Country Club still showed its might. The best score that the golf course yielded was an 8-over 80, shot by Viterbo University's own Danielle Ducklow. Sophomore Larissa Schmock was the best finisher of the day for the Pioneers, firing a 90, which was good to tie for 10th in the standings. The Pioneers were very solid all-around, as Lexi Graf, Stephanie Baribeau, and Alysse Elko all finished in the top 20 in addition to Schmock.
The golf team is back on the links this Friday and Saturday in Decatur, Illinois for the Millikin Fall Classic. Tee times start at noon on Friday.
