Golf to participate at LLS's Light The Night
UW-Platteville women's golf team will take time out of its busy schedule to participate in the Pioneers' third The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night on Thursday, Sept. 26 in Madison at Warner Park.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team will take time out of its busy schedule to participate in the Pioneers' third The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night on Thursday, Sept. 26 in Madison at Warner Park.
The Pioneers began walking at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night three years ago in support of former golfer LeAnn Austinson, who was stricken with Hodgkin's Lymphoma several years ago and is in remission. Austinson will be joining the Pioneers on their walk.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk funds treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising cancer research anywhere
