Golf finishes third at UWW Spring Fling
The UW-Platteville women's golf team finished third out of five teams in the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling at the Delbrook Golf Course in Delavan, Wis.
DELAVAN, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished third out of five teams in the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling at the Delbrook Golf Course in Delavan, Wis.
Host UW-Whitewater won the tournament by four strokes over Carthage College with a 333, +41. The Pioneers shot a 351,, +59 and out shot fourth-place Carroll University 354, +62.
UW-Platteville was led by the play of senior Kellsey Welter, who posted nine pars for a score of 84, +11 and tied for eighth-place. Just a stroke behind her was Kelsey Lieving, who finished with a 85, +12, tied for 11th.
To round out the UW-Platteville lineup, sophomore Katie Gregorich tied for 13th with a 86 while freshman Taylor Egnarski shot a 96, +23 and Ashley Morales witha 113, +40.
The Pioneers return to action next Saturday, April 27 at Augustana (Ill.).
