Pioneer Women's Golf in Fourth after Day One of UW-Oshkosh Invitational
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team is in fourth place out of eight teams, following the first round of the UW-Oshkosh Invitational at the Oshkosh Country Club in Oshkosh. The Pioneers posted a 392 behind UW-Whitewater (342), Carroll (361) and UW-Stevens Point (384) after the first 18 holes.
UW-Platteville senior Kelsey Lieving is the top individual for the Pioneers after shooting an 87, which is seventh place overall and five strokes back of the individual leader - UW-Whitewwater's Nicole Wescott.
Junior Stacy Heiling, who shot a 34 on the back nine last weekend, continued her strong play with a 99 and is tied for 25th. Next, senior Kellsey Welter is 28th after shooting an 100. Freshman Taylor Egnarski and sophomore Katie Gregorich shot a 106 and 114, respectively.
The eight-team field returns to the course on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. for the final round.
