Pioneers earn first conference win
PLATTEVILLE, WIS. - University of Wisconsin-Platteville picked up their first conference win of the season against University of Wisconsin-Stout by a score of 68-64 Saturday on Bo Ryan Court.

The Pioneers (7-8, 1-3 WIAC) entered the fourth quarter down 46-51 to the Blue Devils (12-3, 2-2 WIAC). Junior Morgan Horstman scored 13 of her 22 points in the fourth quarter to comeback and seal the victory. Horstman shot 60 percent (3-of-5) from the field and 87.5 percent (7-of-8).
Shooting 41.8 percent (23-of-55) from the field, 44.4 percent (4-of-9) from 3-point range and 78.3 percent (18-of-23) from the free throw line to rebound drastically from their previous game when they shot 17 percent from the field.
Sophomore Caitlyn Tipton recorded 12 points with an efficient 50 percent (4-of-8) from the field, 50 percent (1-of-2) from 3-point range, and 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from the free throw line. Junior Rachel Emendorfer logged 11 points and shot 66.7 percent from the field with a perfect 3-of-3 from the 3-point range in addition to tallying four assists on the night. Sophomore Maiah Domask led the team with nine rebounds and added 10 points.
The Pioneers travel to face UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.
