UW-Platteville wins battle of the Pioneers
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The Pioneers of UW-Platteville defeated the Pioneers of Carroll (Wis.) 73-66 on Wednesday night on Bo Ryan Court.

This was the third consecutive win for UW-Platteville who improved to 4-3 on the season.
UW-Platteville trailed late but finished the game with a 14-5 run in the final 2:18. Lexis Macomber made a layup to tie the game at 61 before Morgan Horstman converted an and-one opportunity to extend the lead to 64-61. UW-Platteville got stops when it counted most and Carroll wouldn't score again until the last 13 seconds of the game.
Horstman led the offensive attack with 16 points and the Pioneers had three others in double-digits; Kassie Buccholz (13), Caitlyn Tipton (13) and Maiah Domask (12).
Domask registered a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 14 rebounds. Kassie Hansen stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, 11 rebounds, two assists, a steal and three blocks. Rachel Emendorfer led the team with five assists and three steals.
The UW-Platteville Pioneers host Loras at 3 pm on Saturday, Dec. 8th for their fundraiser to combat pediatric cancer and support Megan, Palmer and the entire Wilson family. Men's Pioneer Basketball will continue the effort at 5 pm following the women's game.
