Pioneers Compete At Drake Alternative Thursday

Men's Highlights
Junior Zach Zenner won the 400m with a personal-best time of 48.74 seconds. In the same event, junior Spencer Vanek (49.20 seconds) and freshman Kaeden Weberpal (50.05) also posted PRs, placing second and sixth, respectively.
Sophomore Caden Schneider ran a new personal-best in the 1500m to win the event with a time of 3:55.64.
Senior Riley Coulter won the 5000m with a PR time of 15:08.08. Junior Korbin Eisler was the runner-up in the event at 15:25.39, while junior Nolan Baumhardt finished seventh at 15:55.65.
The Pioneers 4x400m relay team of James Ketterer, Zenner, Vanek, and Weberpal finished first among 10 teams with a time of 3:18.07.
Senior Joey Madsen finished second in the 3000m steeplechase behind a season-best time of 9:45.44. Sophomore Christopher Wier took fourth with a PR time of 9:57.50, while sophomore placed fourth in the event at 10:03.42.
Senior Daniel Inyang took fourth in the high jump at 1.92m while junior Kyle Lang placed eighth in the pole vault at 4.13m.
Freshman Cohen Pfohl set a new PR in the shot put at 15.18m, which was good for fifth place in the event.
Freshman Connor Vierck posted a PR in the 110m hurdles, placing seventh with a time of 15.49 seconds. In the 200m, freshman Carson Gold took seventh at 22.44 seconds.
In the 800m, sophomore Joshua Stone took seventh at 1:57.87. Freshman Paul Treiber placed right behind for eighth at 1:58.58.
Women's Highlights
In the high jump, freshman Hailey Campbell won the event with a leap of 1.67m.
Freshman Elianna Dalamangas tallied a new PR in the triple jump with a second-place finish at 11.44m. That mark moves her up to fourth on the Pioneers all-time list.
Senior Natalie Kreier finished runner-up in the 5000m run behind a season-best time of 18:37.21. Sophomore Leah Digmann ran a personal-best in the 800m of 2:22.26 to finish fifth overall.
Senior Alexis Healey recorded a season-best mark of 5.20m in the long jump to finish fifth.
Senior Kayla Lipsey finished sixth in the 100m hurdles, running a time of 16.61 seconds. She also placed 10th in the 200m with a season-best time of 27.16 seconds.
The Pioneers 4x100m relay team of Caitlynn Hahn, Lipsey, Healey, and Dalamangas finished third with a time of 49.06 seconds.
Junior Margaret Rusch came in sixth in the 400m with a time of 1:00.88. Senior Jessica Buss also competed in the event and finished seventh with a PR time of 1:00.93.
Junior Brenna Noon set a new PR in the hammer throw at 45.18m. She placed 11th overall in the event. Noon also took fourth in the shot put at 13.42m.

The Pioneers will send a pair of throwers to the Drake Relays this weekend. McKade Jelinek will compete tomorrow, while Justin Eichler will throw on Saturday.
