Steiner named to Academic All-America Team
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Noah Steiner was named to the 2019-20 Academic All-America Division III Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country - Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Noah Steiner was named to the 2019-20 Academic All-America Division III Men's Track & Field/Cross Country - Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Steiner was one of 94 student-athletes honored as an Academic All-American this season in Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country teams. Despite the cancellation of spring competition as a result of COVID-19, CoSIDA continued its sponsorship of the Academic All-America awards program. Student-athletes were selected based on career statistics/results.
Steiner, a senior high jumper from Monticello, Iowa, was an industrial technology management major with a 3.76 grade point average. He achieved a lifetime best clearance of 2.10m (6-10.75) and holds the indoor and outdoor school records in the high jump. Steiner won three WIAC Championship titles in the high jump and has placed second twice. He qualified for five NCAA DIII National Championships, becoming an All-American in 2019 when he placed third at the indoor and outdoor national championships.
