LaMere won the 5,000m in a new school record and WIAC all-time best time of 13:56.76. The time is also third best in the Division III all-time best list. The race went off a little slower than expected and LaMere was not on pace to break 14-minutes with one kilometer to go. He was able to kick it up a gear and close the final kilometer in 2:43 to break the 14-minute barrier. LaMere now leads the nation with the fastest time of the season by 11 seconds.
