Eight Pioneers Earn All-Region Honors
The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association named eight Pioneers All-Region. To be named All-Region athletes needed to be ranked in the top-5 in an individual event or top-3 in a relay.

Ian LaMere earned All-Region honors in three events. He is regionally ranked fourth in the mile with a time of 4:13.70. LaMere has the fastest times in both the 3,000m and 5,000m having run 8:12.06 and 13:54.88 respectively. LaMere's 5,000m time is the second fastest ever in Division III.
Chelsey Heiden also earned honors for her No. 5 ranking in the 5,000m run. She ran 17:28.34 at the UW-Platteville Final Qualifying meet.
In the field events Jacob Hirsbrunner holds the highest ranking with his 3394 point heptathlon score. Hirsbrunner accomplished that score on his way to winning the WIAC Championships.
Amber Williams leads the triple jump with a distance of 12.33m (40-5.5) and is second in the long jump with a leap of 5.85m (19-2.5). Both marks where achieved at the WIAC Championships while winning both events.
Rachel Beuthin holds the No. 2 spot in the shot put. Beuthin's best mark of the season came at the Spartan Invite with a toss of 14.11m (46-3.5)
Megan Marotz is ranked second in the region with her 3345 point pentathlon score. Marotz finished second at the WIAC Championships after breaking personal records in four of the five pentathlon events.
Matt Dwyer winning pole vault at the WIAC Championships ranks him third in the region. Dwyer cleared 5.01m (16-5.5) to take the title.
