Valley, Williams shine at UW-Platteville Final Qualifier
The UW-Platteville men’s and women’s track and field teams had familiar faces in top spots at the UW-Platteville Final Qualifier Saturday.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's and women's track and field teams had familiar faces in top spots at the UW-Platteville Final Qualifier Saturday.
Men's Results
T.J. Valley had another brilliant day in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing first and tying his school record with a 8.08-second performance. Valley now holds the fifth-fastest time in the nation in the event.
Jason Henkins won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.03, which was the 18th-fastest time in the nation thus far this season.
In the 3,000-meter run, Joel Walden finished fourth with a time of 8:48.15.
In the pole vault, Jared Bradfish and Garrett Riggs tied for fourth in leaps of 4.7 meters (15-05.00). Bradfish's 4.95-meter jump (16-02.75) in February still has him ranked third-best in the country.
Women's Results
Amber Williams continued her excellent freshman season with a 5.72 meter jump in the long jump (18-09.25), good for sixth-best in the nation.
Caitlin Thomson tied for first place in the high jump, clearing 1.65 meters (5-05.00), while Stephanie Wyss tied for fifth with the same height clearance. Thomson ranks as no. 12 in the nation in the event with her 1.69-meter jump (5-06.50) last month, while teammate Alyssa Iserman is tied for third in the nation with her 1.70-meter leap (5-07.00) at the UW-Platteville Invite.
In the 60-meter dash, Lynea Axelson (8.60), Wyss (8.68), Chelsea Delzer (8.70), Mary-Katherine Kladar (8.84) and Caitlin Hare (8.87) took fourth through eighth place, respectively.
