Deidre Dillman, Ben Farrell and the Men's 4x100-meter relay Earn All-American Honors
University of Wisconsin-Platteville junior Deidre Dillman (pictured) set a new school record en route to a third-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:08.07) to break Marcia Taddy's school record of 2:08.23 at the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Claremont, California.
The Pioneers' men's track and field 4x100-meter relay team of Aaron Hrubes, Jordan Olp, Casey Goffinet and Lynn Oyawiri finished third with a time of 41.02.
It is the third-straight All-American honor for the Pioneers' 4x100-meter relay team. It is the highest finish by a UW-Platteville men's team in a relay at an outdoor NCAA Division III Track and Field Championship. It is the third-straight outdoor All-American honor for Casey Goffinet, Aaron Hrubes, Jordan Olp, who will all return for 2012-13 and Lynn Oyawiri finishes his career at UW-Platteville with a pair of All-American honors.
Also earning All-American honors was Ben Farrell, who finished seventh in the 400-meter dash (48.32).
In the final event of the championship for UW-Platteville, the women's 4x400-meter relay team (Dillman, Carshella Porter, Jackie Cahill and Ann Tank) finished ninth in a time of 3:49.91.
