Pioneer Relays Shine at UW-La Crosse National Qualifier
Two University of Wisconsin-Platteville relay teams posted season-best times on Thursday at the UW-La Crosse National Qualifier.
Posting improvements on their provisional marks were the men's 4x100-meter relay team of Aaron Hrubes, Jordan Olp, Casey Goffinet and Matthew Ziegler, who finished in a NCAA provisional time of 41.28. The performance is the sixth fastest in the nation to date.
Also, the men's 4x400-meter relay team of Aaron
Hrubes, Matthew Ziegler, Patrick
Kessenich and Ben Farrell posted a NCAA
provisional time of 3:13.41, which is the fifth fastest in the
nation to date.
The Pioneers and the rest of the nation will find out on Sunday at
3 p.m. (CST) who will be attending next week's NCAA Division III
Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 26-28, hosted by Ohio
Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
