Pioneers Overcome Rainy Conditions at UW-Oshkosh Invitational
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s track and field team overcame a steady rain at Titan Stadium for the UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Friday.
On the men’s side, Patrick Klein was
victorious in the 800-meter run (1:55.77) and Jared
Bradfish was the top collegiate competitor in the pole
vault with a clearance of 15-2.75. Teammate Chas
Spangenberg was second with a clearance of 14-8.75.
Jordan Olp was third in the 100-meter dash
(11.37), Josh VandenBush was third in the triple
jump (42-0), Patrick Kessenich finished fourth in
the 110-meter hurdles (15.64) and Josh Canner was
sixth in the javelin (139-6) and seventh in the long jump (19-3.5).
John Egan and Bruce King shared
sixth-place honors in the high jump with matching clearances of
5-10.75.
UW-Platteville will continue its preparations for the WIAC Championships on Saturday, April 30 at the UW-Whitewater Invitational.
