Pioneers continue league with 2 losses
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued the WIAC against University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday. The Warhawks won the opener 5-0 and the nightcap 8-0.
WHITEWATER, Wis.—The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued the WIAC against University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday. The Warhawks won the opener 5-0 and the nightcap 8-0.
In game one, the Warhawks scored twice in the first inning, once in the third, and twice in the fifth inning.
Game two was a five-inning game. The Warhawks scored five runs in the first, twice in the second, and once in the third innings.
The Pioneers were held to four hits in each contest, with Emily Woodford collecting three in the second game.
UW-Whitewater improved to 20-6 overall and 6-0 in the WIAC. The Pioneers, now 7-19 overall and 1-7 in the WIAC, will travel to play against Cornell College on Tuesday, April 18 in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
