Men's Soccer Falls to 25th-ranked Loras
UW-Platteville men’s soccer fell to 25th-ranked Loras College, 5-0, on Tuesday night at Dubuque, Iowa.
DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer fell to 25th-ranked Loras College, 5-0, on Tuesday night at Dubuque, Iowa.
"Tonight we didn't show up to play, and we couldn't get any possession as they were able to put a lot of pressure on us," said head coach Enzo Fuschino. "The only positive out of this game is that its still very early in the season and we can fix things."
The Duhawks broke the scoreless game in the 28th-minute when Mike Pizzello headed in Alex Bradley's corner kick. Loras struck two more times before intermission to take a 3-0 lead at halftime.
It only took 12 seconds in to the second-half for Loras to score for the fourth time and then added one more in the 51st-minute on a penalty kick to make it 5-0 game.
Loras out shot the Pioneers 21-10 and had a 8-1 corner kick advantage.
The Pioneers continue their three game road trip when the travel to Lakeland on Saturday at 4 p.m.
