Three Pioneers Named To Academic All-District Team
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Seniors Colton Ingram, Samuel Tausz, and Gerrit Schomaker of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team have been named to the Academic All-District Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The 2022 Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on both the field and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be in sophomore, junior, or senior standing.
Ingram finished second on the team with 64 total tackles from his linebacker position and added four tackles for loss and half a sack. The senior made a pair of interception, including a 46-yard pick-six to give the Pioneers the lead before halftime in the win over UW-Whitewater. Ingram reached double digit tackles on Nov. 5 against UW-Eau Claire, finishing with 11.
Tausz finished fourth on the team with 56 tackles and forced two fumbles while grabbing a pair of interceptions. The senior tallied a season-high nine tackles twice against UW-Oshkosh and UW-La Crosse.
Schomaker totaled 21 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss on the defensive line. The senior finished with three tackles including two tackles for loss in the Pioneers win over UW-Eau Claire.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in the middle of December.
