Pioneer football name captains
Platteville, Wis.- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team named six captains for the 2021 season. Offensive captains are senior wide receiver Donald Allender and senior quarterback Colin Schuetz. Senior defensive back Drew Hoff, sophomore defensive lineman Justin Blazek and senior defensive lineman Logan Ketelhut were named defensive captains. Junior punter Hunter Grams was named special teams captain.

"These six captains were elected by their teammates, not only for their leadership on the field but off the field," head coach Mike Emendorfer said. "They led during a very difficult time during the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to be great role models for our team heading into the season."
Allender is a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School in Youngstown, New York. He has played in 26 games and recorded 72 receptions. He has 13 receiving touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns in his career. He was named a 2019 All-WIAC second team wide receiver after leading the Pioneers with nine receiving touchdowns. Allender is majoring in health and human performance.
Schuetz is from Aviton, Illinois, and graduated from Breese Mater Dei Catholic High School. He has played 24 games, starting the last 18 games at quarterback. The 2019 All-WIAC first team quarterback led the WIAC in passing efficiency (145.7) and completion percentage (60.8). He was second in touchdowns thrown (25), yards thrown (2,873), yards thrown per a game (287.3), attempts (367), completions (223) and second fewest interceptions (6). Schuetz is majoring in biology.
Hoff is a graduate of Merrill High School in Merrill, Wisconsin. Hoff has played in 10 games and recorded 15 tackles. He has two tackles for losses and broken up one pass in his career. Hoff is majoring in health and human performance.
Blazek is from Naperville, Illinois, and graduated from Neuqua Valley High School. Blazek started his career at UW-Platteville as a wide receiver before switching to the defensive side of the ball for the final two games of 2019. He recorded two tackles, one for a loss in the final game of 2019. Blazek is majoring in mechanical engineering.
Ketelhut graduated from Hartford Union High School in Hartford, Wisconsin. Ketelhut has played in 20 games and recorded 30 tackles. He has recorded 5.5 tackles for a loss and two sacks in his career. He has forced two fumbles, recovered one and blocked one field goal attempt. Ketelhut is majoring in civil engineering.
Grams is from Dane, Wisconsin, and a graduate of Lodi High School. Grams was fourth in the WIAC with a 36.3 yard average per punt, had a long of 59 yards and placed 14 of his 47 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line. Grams is majoring in animal science.
