Rakers and Westemeyer named Academic All-District®

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Two members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team have been named to the 2019 NCAA Division III Academic All-District® Football team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Drew Rakers and Hank Westemeyer were among six selected out of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Rakers, a senior long snapper, is majoring in environmental engineering and owns a 3.92 grade point average, while Westemeyer, a senior offensive lineman, maintains a 3.80 grade point average and is majoring civil engineering. This marks the first time since 2004 that the Pioneers have placed multiple student-athletes on the squad.

Rakers and Westemeyer are eligible for the Academic All-America® Team that will be announced on Dec. 11.
