Wagner named Lancaster Firefighter of the Year
UW-Platteville’s assistant football and head strength and conditioning coach Jason Wagner was named Lancaster Fire Department’s Firefighter of the Year.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- UW-Platteville's assistant football and head strength and conditioning coach Jason Wagner was named Lancaster Fire Department's Firefighter of the Year.
Wagner volunteers his time and energy to make an extraordinary contribution to the operation of the Lancaster Fire Department. Over the past year, Wagner has led a fitness initiative for the department's members and also built a new department website.
He can also be found around the station checking equipment, washing trucks and taking on any other task that needs to be done at the station.
"We would like to congratulate Jason on his award, and we are so proud of him for his contributions to the Lancaster Fire Department and the community," said Athletic Director Mark Molesworth. "Jason is a great example for our student-athletes, showing the importance of community service."
