Reinhart, Moses lead Pioneer sweep
Led by the hot bats of Kyle Reinhart and Josh Moses, the UW-Platteville baseball team hit double figures twice in sweeping a doubleheader at Simpson College Wednesday, 14-7 and 10-2.

Led by the hot bats of Kyle Reinhart and Josh Moses, the UW-Platteville baseball team hit double figures twice in sweeping a doubleheader at Simpson College Wednesday, 14-7 and 10-2.
Reinhart smashed a three-run home run in the fourth and finished with a five RBI game in the opener. Moses added three hits, and Colin Mormann hit safely twice. The Pioneers out-hit the Storm 11-5. Four different pitchers took the mound for Eric Frese's squad, with Colton Bormann earning the winning. Ben Zwitter contributed two scoreless innings, and Alex Curtis struck out five in his two innings.
In the nightcap, Moses had another three hits, and he and Reinhart each drove home three runs. Reinhart slugged his second three-run home run of the day, a sixth-inning blast that made the score 10-2. Caleb Kaufman pitched five innings to earn the victory, while Cal Krafcheck and Kal Pustina each tossed a scoreless inning.
The Pioneers, now 7-4 on the year, are scheduled to open home play Sunday with a doubleheader against Northland College. First pitch at Kendall Murray Field is set for 11 a.m.
