Freshman pitcher Vandenberg garners WIAC player of the week
MADISON, Wis. -- The Pioneer’s freshman right-handed pitcher, Riley Vandenberg, garnered the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the week for his outstanding performance over spring break.

MADISON, Wis. -- The Pioneer's freshman right-handed pitcher, Riley Vandenberg, garnered the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the week for his outstanding performance over spring break.
At the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic, Vandenberg went 2-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in 13 innings. The Kaukauna native struck out 14 batters and recorded wins over McDaniel College (Md.) and No. 24-ranked Johns Hopkins University (Md.). Against Johns Hopkins, Vandenberg allowed four hits, struck out seven and walked three in six innings of work.
