Jelinek had three season-best throws in all three events he competed in at the UW-Platteville Invitational this past weekend. In the discus he threw 51.95m (170' 5"), which was good for third place and seventh on the NCAA National List. He also tossed a career-best 16.05m (52' 8") in the shot put to finish seventh place. That mark ranks 19th on the NCAA National List. Finally, his mark of 48.79m (160' 1") in the hammer throw was a lifetime best.

Jordan Johnson -- Junior -- Moline, Ill. / Moline HS -- 1B Johnson put together a fantastic week at the plate, batting .571 (8-for-14) with a .625 on-base percentage and 1.214 slugging percentage. The junior was a perfect 6-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep over Dubuque last Thursday with three doubles, a home run, six RBI, and three runs scored. Against UW-River Falls on Saturday, Johnson tallied a couple of hits, including a grand slam in game two of the doubleheader to help the Pioneers win 10-0.
