Pioneers name athletes of the week, Ehlen earns WIAC honors

Women's Field - Brittany Ehlen, Junior (Burlington, Wis.) - Ehlen won the pole competition at the Spartan Invitational hosted by the University of Dubuque on Feb. 16. Her winning height of 3.72 meters (12' 2.5") was a lifetime best vault that improves her school record. Ehlen is currently ranked at the top of the WIAC and tenth in the NCAA for the pole vault. |

Men's Basketball - Robert Duax, Junior (Dubuque, Iowa/Hempstead), Guard - Duax had a game high 19 points in the Pioneers' 81-69 win over UW-River Falls on Feb. 17 that made UW-Platteville the outright WIAC regular season champion. He also grabbed five rebounds, had a pair of steals, and hit all seven of his free throw attempts. On Feb. 14 against UW-Whitewater Duax had 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting in the Pioneers' 70-66 win over the Warhawks. |

Men's Track & Field - Rodrick McMiller, Freshman (Chicago, Ill./Perspectives Leadership Academy) - McMiller won the 200 meter dash at the Spartan Invitational hosted by the University of Dubuque on Feb. 16. His winning time of 22.36 seconds is the fourth fastest time in UW-Platteville history and ranks him fourth in the WIAC this season. McMiller also finished second in the long jump with a mark of 6.90 meters (22' 7.75") which is good for fourth on the UW-Platteville all-time list and sixth longest in the WIAC this season. |

Women's Basketball - Kassie Hansen, Junior (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) Guard - Hansen led the Pioneers in their final game of the season at UW-River Falls with 15 points. She shot six-of-nine from the field and three-of-four from the free throw line, and grabbed eight rebounds in the 61-75 loss. |
