Bio

Kristin Sitte enters her second year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. She is primarily responsible for the Men’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball teams.

A native of Franklin, Wisconsin, Kristin graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in May 2014.  She was also a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams. While at Concordia, Kristin completed a summer long internship with the Lakeshore Chinooks in 2013, a wooden bat collegiate summer baseball team.  She also worked as a clinical research assistant with the Medical College of Wisconsin, assisting the neurosurgery department with concussion research.

Kristin served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida from 2014 - 2016.  While at Barry, Kristin directly oversaw the men’s soccer, men’s basketball, and men’s and women’s tennis teams.  Kristin also served as a clinical preceptor in Barry’s CAATE accredited athletic training program.  She earned her master’s degree in Movement Science (Injury and Sport Biomechanics) with an athletic training specialization from Barry University in May 2016.

Kristin has a published editorial in the Journal of Ergonomics (January 2016) and is currently working on publication of her thesis work.

Kristin is a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society, as well as the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She is Certified in Graston – M1 Techniques and is CPR/AED certified. 

In addition to her athletic training duties, Kristin is a lecturer in the Health and Human Performance Department at UW-Platteville.
