CHICAGO, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Volleyball team lost to North Park 25-14, 25-27, 21-25, 19-25 on Tuesday night in the North Park Gym.
The Pioneers fall to 13-6 overall and the Vikings improve to 8-9.
In the first set the Pioneers easily cruised to the 25-14 victory but weren't able to duplicate that success the rest of the night. The Vikings had the advantage offensively and hit .172 as a team versus the Pioneers' .144 and also had the defensive edge, tallying more digs and blocks on the night.
The Pioneers were led offensively by Senior Katie Jones who had 11 kills on 24 attempts and a .292 hitting percentage. Jones added four block assists.
Sophomore Olivia Kudronowicz had a negative hitting percentage in the first set but ultimately led the team with 12 kills on the night. Kudronowicz tallied a double double by adding 15 digs to her 12 kills. Kudronowicz also had 3 block assists.
Freshman Stephanie Kalinowski finished with 18 digs and led the team with three service aces.
The Pioneers host UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, October 5th at 7:00 pm against UW-Stevens Point.
