Pioneers fall to Warhawks in 2OT
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team fell 1-0 in 2OT to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday night in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team fell 1-0 in 2OT to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday night in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers' (6-2-2, WIAC 0-2-0) suffered their second loss of the season in overtime. The Warhawks improve to 9-3-0 and 2-0-0 in the league to remain in a three-way tie for first in the WIAC.
UW-Whitewater held control most of the night tallying 20 shots to UW-Platteville's seven. The teams were even with six corner kicks apiece.
Junior keeper Emma Ball registered seven saves including a penalty kick before the game winning goal taken from outside the penalty box by Anna Boyd snuck into the upper left corner in the 103rd minute.
The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 9 when they travel to UW-River Falls for another WIAC contest starting at 2 p.m.
