Ash ties for second while Pioneers take fifth in Titan Classic

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished fifth-of-twelve after two rounds at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Classic to kick off the 2019 fall season.
Sophomore Markie Ash tied for second place out of 66 golfers in the tournament tallying 77 strokes in round one and 83 round two for two-day total of 160.
Junior Cortney Olson posted daily results of 82 and 92 for the team's second-best score of 174 landing her in the top-ten tied for ninth place after two days.
Rounding out the Pioneers top-five were junior Kaley Mumma (101, 93) with 194 strokes, sophomore Riley Redell (92, 104) with 196 strokes, and sophomore Emily Veenhuis (101, 105) with 206 strokes.
The Pioneers compete next at the La Crosse Country Club in La Crosse, Wisconsin on Saturday, Sep 7.
