Pioneers eliminated from WIAC Championship
WHITEWATER, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team was eliminated from the WIAC Championship on Saturday with a 5-3 loss to University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

WHITEWATER, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team was eliminated from the WIAC Championship on Saturday with a 5-3 loss to University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
The Pioneers finished their season 20-21 overall.
The Eagles built a 2-0 lead in the first inning and the Pioneers were never able to take control.
Senior Brennan Kearney drove in a run in the top of the fourth to make the score 2-1. The Eagles responded in the bottom of the inning with three runs to extend the lead to 5-1.
Sophomore Jonathan Kelso hit a two-run homerun in the top of the fifth inning to cut the lead to 5-3 but the Pioneers would not score again.
Junior Josh Moses went 2-of-3 and scored a run. Senior Caleb Kaufmann started and pitched four innings and allowed five earned runs. Sophomore Michael Greco pitched four innings of shutout relief.
