Pioneers split with Duhawks
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team (13-3) split Thursday’s home opener with Loras College (13-7) at the UW-Platteville Softball Complex. The Duhawks claimed the first game by a score of 2-1 after eight innings. The Pioneers reversed the score in the nightcap to claim their own 2-1 victory.

School Record Highlights Opening Outdoor Meet
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville track and field teams kicked off the outdoor season on Thursday afternoon when it hosted the Dubuque Dual. Senior Justin Eichler highlighted the event by setting a new school record in the hammer throw.

UW-Platteville announces Knipe as next athletic director
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announces Michael Knipe as the new athletic director. He will oversee the 16 NCAA Division III athletic programs as well as campus recreation. Knipe will officially begin his new duties on May 13. Paul Erickson will continue to serve as the interim athletic director until that time.

Pioneers conclude Florida trip with back-to-back triumphs
LEESBURG, FL – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team emerged victorious in two close shutouts to improve to 12-2 on the season by the end of the team's spring break trip. The Pioneers defeated Chicago 1-0 prior to defeating Monmouth 2-0.

Pioneers Pick Up Walk Off To Wrap Up Florida Trip
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team (3-7) wrapped up the trip to Pensacola on Friday by splitting contests against Huntingdon (8-6) and Lyon (3-10). The Pioneers win came in walk off fashion against the Scots in the second game of the day.
