Nearly half of all University of Wisconsin-Platteville student-athletes were honored on the 2000-01 Gabe Miller Academic Honor Roll for achieving a 3.0 GPA or higher.
A total of 158 athletes made the honor roll, with an overall 2.96 GPA for the fall and spring semesters, higher than the overall student body's mark of 2.86. There are seven men's and seven women's teams that compete throughout the year and they are just as successful athletically as they are in the classroom. UW-Platteville athletics finished 57th out of 395 NCAA Division III schools in the Sears Directors Cup, which ranks athletic success.
This honor roll was named after Gabe Miller who played on the 1995 NCAA III national championship basketball team, and passed away a month later.
