Pioneer cross country perform at the Firebird Invite
Kenosha, Wis. – The UW-Platteville men’s and women’s cross country team raced at the Firebird Invite on Friday, October 8. Both teams finished in second place among the teams in attendance.
Kenosha, Wis. – The UW-Platteville men's and women's cross country team raced at the Firebird Invite on Friday, October 8. Both teams finished in second place among the teams in attendance.
The women's teams in attendance included Carthage College, Dominican, North Park, and Alverno. As for the men's teams, in attendance were teams from Carthage College, Concordia – Wisconsin, North Park Cardinal Stritch, and Harper College.
Kaitlyn Galgon finished the challenging 6,000m women's course alongside Hannah Fliss, finishing with a time of 26:55.0. Galgon placed 23rd among individual standings, and Fliss finished in 24th.
As for the Pioneer men, Zach Hein and Riley Coulter worked together to finished the 8,000m course in 28:33.4 and 28:33.7 respectively. Hein and Coulter finished in 15th and 16th place.
The Pioneers will travel to West Salem, Wisconsin on Friday, October 15 for the Drews/Newbauer Invite hosted by UW-La Crosse. Stay up to date on race times at letsgopioneers.com.
