PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Ian LaMere has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Male Cross Country Athlete of the Year.
This is the second consecutive year LaMere has earned the award. After last year's record setting year LaMere continued to break records this year.

LaMere, a Green Bay, Wis. native, won every DIII race her participated in this season, including the WIAC Championships, the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships and the NCAA DIII National Championships.
LaMere won the NCAA Regional in 24:01.1, his slowest race of the year with his other 3 races all being under 24 minutes. His final time of 23:40.4 at NCAA Nationals is the second fastest winning time ever, following his own record set last year. Also, LaMere's 29-second winning margin is tied for the second largest margin of victory ever.
